About Walkthruvisa

I'm Euan Fergusson, founder and director of Walkthruvisa Ltd. With over 22 years of front-line experience and thousands of successful UK visa applications behind me, I bring detailed insight, practical strategy, and professional care to every client I work with.
I founded Walkthruvisa Ltd in 2015 to provide focused, one-to-one support across a full range of UK immigration routes. Before that, I led accredited immigration services and managed teams of experienced advisers supporting workers, students, and families entering the UK.

Areas of Expertise

I work across a broad range of UK immigration categories, with particular interest in family migration, Global Talent visas, and British citizenship and naturalisation. I also have extensive experience in work-based routes, including Skilled Worker visas and sponsor licences — having previously managed and held direct responsibility for sponsor compliance, UKVI audit preparation, and immigration strategy within large organisational settings.

My sponsor licence work spans multi-national organisations, charities, and smaller, self-sponsorship arrangements that allow experts and entrepreneurs to live and work in the UK independently.

Who I Work With

Euan Fergusson - Director, Walkthruvisa Ltd
Over the years, I’ve supported clients from a wide spectrum of backgrounds — from high-profile individuals in film, television and the arts, to international academics, emerging leaders in the creative industries, comedians, circus performers, and musicians, as well as partners navigating complex family routes to make their lives in the UK. I’ve also worked with individuals seeking to restore their entitlement to British citizenship through ancestry and descent — often navigating historic or overlooked rights.

Whether the case is high-profile, business-critical, or deeply personal, I take the same careful, strategic approach — tailored to the individual circumstances and goals of the people I represent.

Regulation and Professional Standards

As a legal practitioner, I’ve contributed my expertise to UK and Scottish Government working groups, policy discussions, and immigration advisory committees. I’ve also delivered training workshops, sponsor licence support, and immigration strategy planning for businesses bringing colleagues to the UK for conferences, events, or long-term employment.

Walkthruvisa Ltd is a fully regulated UK immigration practice, registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). We passed our most recent compliance audit, confirming our commitment to professional standards, competent practice, and ethical case management.

We take professional development seriously and never rest on experience alone. As members of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA), and with a trusted network for second opinions and specialist referrals, we stay up to date with the procedures, legislation, and real-world developments that shape our clients’ success.

What You Can Expect

Each person who comes to Walkthruvisa is looking for genuine insight and clear, experienced guidance. My role is to help you make sense of the complex and tightly applied UK immigration rules — and to give you the best possible chance of success.

Our Clients | Who we help

Individuals

We assist people with their applications across a range of routes: UK spouse and family visa, Skilled Worker, Student, UK Ancestry, Global Talent, Visitors - through to indefinite leave to remain and citizenship.

The level of support we provide depends on what you need help with. We offer one off advice, an application review service or a full application service - it all just depends on how much assistance you need.

Organisations and Business Immigration

We help organisations - SMEs and other businesses, educational institutions, social enterprises and scholarship foundations - to understand the rules to attract and retain international talent and optimise their opportunities to hire international talent.

From one-off consultations and trouble-shooting, case management to onward retainers and customised services, we can guide on sponsorship under Tiers 2, 4 or 5, bringing in visitors to your organisation or thinking through the visa logistics for events, responses to large-scale changes such as Brexit and aligning HR and people process with immigratin requirements.

Education Providers and Agents

We work with education providers - universities, colleges and education agents - to maximise opportunities for students studying in the UK, obtaining Student visas, sponsor licence retention activity and delivering information to help applicants navigate the student visa rules.

We provide support to partners such as
BritEd and UniDirect to provide visa and immigration guidance and information to their clients preparing to study in the UK. We also regularly work with higher education institutions in assignments relating to compliance matters, visa and immigration advice for students and short term study visas and application reviews at peak times of year.

How we work.

Fully Regulated | We take our professionalism seriously and seek to work to the highest standards.

UK based | Global Reach

We work with clients from around the world and across time zones - the vast majority of people we help, we serve remotely. We're only a click away from helping you out and distance is no barrier.

Client Centred | We take a person-centered approach to help clients through their UK visa journey.

Where needed, we'll gladly make arrangements to fit around evenings and weekends, meet up in person in Edinburgh, procure official documents and find any way we can to go the extra mile to help you. We are also happy to contribute our knowledge about aspects beyond immigration - where to look for relocation information and how various practical processes work in the UK as well as deep knowledge about settling in Scotland.

Integrity | The value of what we do lies in our integrity as an immigration consultant.

Sometimes, we cannot help. We do not take on a case unless we believe there is a reasonable chance of success. We will always advise clients if we believe otherwise and discuss other options. We don't guess or take chances: if we cannot help you, we'll connect you to someone who can.

Independent | As an independent UK visa consultancy, we maintain a sustainable case load.

We do not set out to be all things to all people - we focus on the routes we know best: Family, Workers, Global Talent, Students, Visitors, ILR and UK Naturalisation: the mainstays of the UK immigration system. We manage a balanced work load so we can give you our attention when you need it most.
