​Before starting Walkthruvisa in 2015, my previous work included establishing accredited immigration services and directing the work of an experienced team of immigration practitioners covering routes into the UK for workers, students and families.

As an advocate for people, I have participated and contributed my expertise and opinions to UK and Scottish Government groups and committees where they have asked for my input on a wide range of immigration issues.

For business immigration clients, I bring first-hand insight of managing and maintaining sponsor licences, heading up UKVI audit preparations, planning immigration strategies to bring colleagues from around the world to attend events and conferences and presenting round-tables and training workshops on immigration matters both within Scotland and beyond.

Walkthruvisa Ltd is a fully regulated immigration practice in the UK, registered with the Office for the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC). We passed our most recent audit in February 2021 which was a great experience for reviewing our work, our files and our practices and ensuring our credibility and close compliance with the various requirements to be recognised as a suitably competent immigration legal practice.

We take professional development in our work seriously and do not rest on our experience - we are members of the Immigration Legal Practitioner's Association, providing us with up to date training and detailed information on the procedures and practice of immigration law in the UK.

We help organisations - SMEs and other businesses, educational institutions, social enterprises and scholarship foundations - to understand the rules to attract and retain international talent and optimise their opportunities to hire international talent.

From one-off consultations and trouble-shooting, case management to onward retainers and customised services, we can guide on sponsorship under Tiers 2, 4 or 5, bringing in visitors to your organisation or thinking through the visa logistics for events, responses to large-scale changes such as Brexit and aligning HR and people process with immigratin requirements.

Education Providers and Agents

We work with education providers - universities, colleges and education agents - to maximise opportunities for students studying in the UK, obtaining Student visas, sponsor licence retention activity and delivering information to help applicants navigate the student visa rules.

We provide support to partners such as BritEd and UniDirect to provide visa and immigration guidance and information to their clients preparing to study in the UK. We also regularly work with higher education institutions in assignments relating to compliance matters, visa and immigration advice for students and short term study visas and application reviews at peak times of year.
